05-08 RL owners please respond...
Im new here. Tried the search function first and didnt find anything.
05 RL with 48,000 makes undesireable noise around 1500 RPM in 5th gear. (Cruising RPM at 45-50 miles an hour)
Its hard to describe the noise but to me it sounds like a component is not quite engaging creating a slipping clutch type of sounds. As if a series of clutch plates arent completed smashed up against each other. Sound comes from the front and only when applying the accelerator. I only hear it with radio off and all windows closed.
Ive driven several 4 wheel drive cars but have never heard this type of noise before. Definitely does not seem normal to me. Anyone else with an RL hear this type of noise or has anyone heard of this being a known RL issue?
