You really need to be more specific - what is it you REALLY want to know. Ask the question better and help us to hlep you. . .

In general, there are no problems with high compression in the C30/C32 motors. I would not go much over 12.5:1 on pump gas unless you are running a really big cam. Anything in the 11's should be very safe, as long as you have a good tune.

Also, keep in mind that you change the cam timing if you radically mill the heads or the block.

That for the most part answered my question, I am a prospective NSX owner and am researching now so I know what I am getting myself into.

There shouldn't be a valve clearence problem, but if you have the motor out and apart, you might as well clay it to be sure.

I do alot of head work on B series like shaving the hell out of the heads, I always wanted to do the same to my NSX, but I decided to wait untill I have to go into the engine (C30A), If u decide to do it u will need camgears, I would shave 0.040 to make it worth while, I think Honda should have gave us a type r NSX with higher compression like all their other TYPE R models that have higher compression than the none R versions, if u decide to do it keep me posted, if u need any advise feel free to contact me

How much experience do you have with this? I really advise against cam gears opn an nsx unless you have an engine dyno. They are difficult to impossible to adjust once the motor is in the car.

You are much better off raising the compression the correct way - new pistions. It is okay to raise compression the cheapo way (mill the head) with a b series motor, but its just not a good plan with an nsx. Besides, with new pistions you can get exactly the compression you want at a lighter weight and better material (forged).

Well, there are pins u slide through the cam caps that slides into a hole in the cams when u put them on TDC, so u would set them before u fully assemble the motor and that would put the cam timing back where it originaly was, raising the CMP this way is less chance of detonation then a heavier piston with a dome

I see, you are talking about just using them to degree the cams, not to actually tune with.

Right, STOCK cams will not need much fine tuning for this situation, just degreeing.

Just like there's no need to get cam gears, just because u are putting in high cmp pistons
