I have a b18c5 and soemtimes when I come to a stop my idel will drop all the way to zero and die or sometimes it will bounce up. Ive changed my iacv, plugs and wires, coil, ignitor, fuel filter and pump. Any ideas? I was thinking that my timing might be out of whack from the swap. Anyone have this prob with there r?

 

Ive got it.

Turning on my lights stops it, 85% of the time.

 

My swap does the same thing but doesn't ever stall....it dips pretty low about 300-400 rpms but has never shut-off!

Edit....i needed a new battery and that helped a bit as well though!

 

nope, not me.

 

my gsr did that till the day it was stolen. my r was doing it and the pcv hose was collapsed.

pull of the pcv valve while its running and put your finger over the hole if you hear the valve click its good. other than that try adjusting your idle if you timing is good. make sure you disconnect you iacv to adjust the idle.

 

Excuse me, i have a B18C 96 Spec JDM and i have sometimes the same problem. What is the PCV? PCV hose?

 

try changing your ground wires.. it will have a better idle

Yeah, I'd love to know what fixed the problem too.
I'm having this same problem on my Supercharged Ls.

I've done tones of searches........But haven't had a good answer yet.

 

try checking your valve lash. I was having the same problems and it was because my valve lash were too tight.
