Default Picked up a car cover for the Arrrrr from Baranco Acura

Thanks to len for the great deal and fast service

Nice fitment and quality.

When I ordered it Len told me he hadn't seen them and wasn't sure if
it would accommodate the ITR spoiler; it doesn't. Fortunately I don't have the spoiler on, so it's not a big deal. If you were to use the cover with the spoiler you would have to leave the rear bumper uncovered.

It also comes with a cloth bag to store the cover, as well as a cable & padlock.

Yup, you got the LS/GSR cover. Which I also have. It's a nice piece... keeps the dust away.

you have to make sure the car is pretty clean because that car cover will act like a scour pad on your paint. i had a california car cover and used it religiously untill i found out all the extra little scrathches that were turning up because of the car cover. just a fyi.

Thats strange, I have an acura cover that fits my ITR perfectly including the wing. I'm not sure if in fact the car cover I have is for an ITR or for an integra for that matter, it was given to me used. However, if I remember correctly it does say ACURA in the front so I'm assuming its a legit acura cover (I'm not sure how to tell if its fake or not, but it's not a cheap looking thing). The mirrors align perfect & like I mentioned, the back of the cover fits perfect over my wing & over my bumper.

Mike, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've yet to see one made by Acura especially for the ITR to accomodate the rear spoiler.

Has anyone ever seen this part? The part number for this car cover is pretty much the same all throughout the year for 98-01.

Yes, as I stated above, it came with a cable and lock I just chose not to use it for now.

Yeah I think we all agree that scratches are a bitch, but I've used my cover for nearly 3 years and the paint still looks to me like when I drove it off the showroom floor. However I do live in SoCal. But anyway using a cover and getting paint scratches no one will ever notice is better than a UV damaged interior and paint imo. Using a cover is a compromise, except if you're rich and have a garage.

In that case I think California Car Cover Co. can custom make one for you.

The stock Acura one *will fit* over the wing. It only leaves about two inches of bumper exposed, and mine never blew off or anything like that while the car was hanging around outside.

I'll see if I can find a picture of the rear of the car with the cover on.

I have had the actual Type R cover. It accomodates the rear spoiler but is otherwise identical to the one you have pictured here. It's not waterproof but water does run off it. I use it when I travel to distant autocrosses and have to leave the car out overnight. It's basically an indoor cover that can be used outdoors part time.

It was worth the money IMHO

I drive my R every day, so a cover is to much trouble and a waste of time.

Besides, the car is always under cover, be it in the garage or under covered parking at work
