My Car Cover Fitment??
I bought a car cover since I'll be going months at a time without being able to wash or drive the R. I got the "Stormweave" car cover from California Car Covers. My dad just washed the car and put it on since I'm not at home, and I'm a little bit worried about the fitment. I've heard that if a cover is too loose, when the wind repeatedly blows, the cover flapping can cause scratches. I've never seen another R under a car cover, so in comparisson, how does it look like mine fits? Any forseable problems? Thankssss

Looks great, I'd also prefer a bit tighter... but just make sure it does not come off and the car should be fine
Watch out for the standing water that will accumilate under the car, it will attract bugs and animals over the winter and possible oder. Also if the car is going to sit for the complete winter then your better off using jackstands with thick wood to keep them from sinking into the dirt.

The OEM car cover that I had used two eye holes at the bottom in the middle of the car. You could then pull the bottom in snug from one side to another. The front and back fit very snug.
One of the best you can buy and it's the same kind I using for the last 3 years
The cover would have to flap significantly for it scratch the finish. Taking it off the wrong way will scratch the finish before anything else.

i think the bottom center has a plastic loop for you to run a cable/lock...or even a bungy cord. it even has fabric in between the car and the loop to prevent scratches. as long as you don't seem to have a lot of wind blowing over the cover, your car will be perfectly fine.
kepani-who's got the stormweave too.

I actually bought that cable lock that goes through the two holes in the middle of the cover so all should be good.

What would be the proper way of taking it off?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Booker »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I'm hoping that since its on a slight slope, most of the water will just roll off the tarp..... god i wish i had a garage

Always fold the bottom part out and up before actually taking the cover off the car.
