Default just bought the moroso breather tank, question though, BSQ, HELP ME?

Is there any use for the breather element (filter) that comes with the tank?

Also, I have problems finding where the driver side crankcase is.

Also, this is somewhat different from

What do I do with the breather hose coming out from the valve cover once I installed the tank? anyone?

Driver side has a plug on it. Passenger side on an non-96+b18b/b20 has the
separater box so there wont be a plug there rather you hook it up to the
box instead. This system isnt for the valve cover vent.
You can use the filter if you dont want to run the PCV.

thanks SGT,

So, I guess for the 2 lower openings on the CAN, I don't have any use for them since B18C5 only has 1 plug, which is for the top vent on the side of the CAN. In my application, I can't drain the oil catched back to the block by using gravity right? So, which BOX are you referring to, for which I can hook up those 2 openings with the TEE?

Tee the drain and the lower opening to the driver side plug, and connect the
upper opening to the port on the separater box that used to go to the PCV valve.
Then if you like, put the PCV into the top of the can and connect that to the manifold
where the pvc line goes.

thanks once again.

I understand completely how the system work now. I just can't find where the stock PCV and the driver side block plug are so that I can plug in those 2 hoses. I was trying use the above third picture but still can't find the PCV. Do I need to access the PCV or the block plug from the bottom of the car?

Thanks for your patience. I tried very hard to find them already.

PCV is readily visible.
its red(very visible) if you look between the #3and 4 runners by the head you'll see
it. follow that underneath the manifold to the separator box and disconnect it there
and run a line from the box to the catch tank.

Thanks,

So, there are basically 2 PCV's there. One is between the 3rd and the 4th runner and the other one is right underneath the manifold which is on a separated box. So, after I connect the PCV between the 3rd and the 4th runner and connect the hose at the top of the Moroso Can, do I just leave the stock PCV open as is?

As for the PCV on the separated box, I will just disconnect the PCV and run a nipple or something to connect it to the hose from the Moroso CAN after the "Tee"
joint. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Also, the plug on the driver side, is about the 1 inch diameter in gold color right?

Thanks SGT.

Yeah, thats the right plug.

Basically the red PCV is going to be relocated to the top of the catch tank.
What you will have to do is find a way to connect the separator box to the
catch tank inlet. I realize that they are different sizes.... maybe you can
find some sort of reducer.

I think I know exactly what I need to do now. Thanks for you patience SGT.

oh, after I relocate the red PCV on the 3rth 4th runner to the top of the catch tank, do I just leave the opening as is, without the red PCV?

Hope this is my last question

the opening is a tube that goes to the separator box.
you can remove that tube

how is TOO's new way of hooking this thing up "better" than the old simpler way? those tubes in the back would seem hard to reach. hell the OEM tank on a gsr is hard enough to reach.

I was trying to remove the plug on the driver side today and I found that plug needs a big *** HEX key. Where on earth can find a hex key which is this big? It's almost the size of 1 inch.

How do you hook this system up without using the intake manifold and PCV at all, and using the filter that came with the kit? or Will it not work that way.

The filter is used if you dont want to run a PCV.

The PCV line just runs through the intake manifold because that is the straightest
route to the plenum.
