Look at the head. All 92+ B16A, B16B, and B18C-R have a 30 stamped on the head.
and...
what stops someone from putting a "r" head on a sir block it still would say b18c right
Pull the oil pan and look at the crank. If you are spending that much money on something, you better be able to check it out.

I haven't checked any JDM ITR blocks but I do klnow that the CTR block has a P73 stamped on the backside of the engine near the rear mount area.

This from a Honda Primo parts CD-ROM that list parts for cars up to 4/99. hth

Right under the stamp where it says b18C it should have 7 digits. If the numbers starts with 1,9xx,xx it's an 97 jdm type r. Or if it's a 2,xxx,xxx it'll be type r's. If the numbers are 1,8xx,xxx it'll be a jdm Gsr. If it has only 6 digit it's a jdm Gsr. Not sure if this is clear or answers the question.

Im just about to buy a car in a couple of days,And I want to be certain its the real deal, not a scam.
Block serial # is - 1912450 ,so it looks like its a JDM type R
are these 2 pic right..?
