How hard is it to adjust the emergency brake? For a new DIYer.

How hard is it to adjust the emergency brake? For a new DIYer.
This might sound like a crazy question, but i honestly don't know. My e brake takes around 7 or 8 clicks to tighten up. Anyone know how to adjust it? And if so, is there any way i could mess something up? Thanks in advance.

very simple, go under the car and look- If your unable figure out what to do, then my suggestion would be to let someone else start the job.
Don't mess around with the brake system if your not mechanical inclined.

you adjust the ebrake from inside the car....take the plastic cover off of the ebrake handle area/arm rest...thing with your car # on it....
then you'll see the cables there....adjust to your hearts content.....just don't do it too much!

1) look inside arm rest
2) Remove objects inside
3)Remove plastic covers on the bottom of the armrest compartment
4)From there you should see the wires
5)Get a open end wrench (either 12 or 14mm I don't remember) and tighten.
6)adjust to get rid of slack.
-Don't make it too tight. The cable will engage the parking brake if it is too tight.

don't have the helms handy, but 7-8 clicks sounds about right, if I'm remembering correctly.
