Default door doesnt shut all the way.....how to fix?

when i shut the passenger door it always looks like its not shut all the way, when it actually is. what adjusts this? is there slots in the loop that the latch hooks on? or does the latch itself get adjusted to pull it in? thanks for any help.

assuming the car has never been in a accident you should be able to fix it like he said.

Playing with the latches should fix the problem. I would try the locking latch on the door itself 1st, then if still not alinged that well then try moving the mounting points on the car, near the fender area.

Mine has always had this same problem on the passenger side.
Just too lazy or not much of an issue for me to really look into at the moment.

Hmmm ... latch mechanism in the door first, eh?
Thanks! Ed

There should be a small rubber type of stopper/screw on the door near the latch mechanism. Try screwing it in a little, one turn or more until it is flush with the body of the car.

That will only make the door flutter at speed, since then it will be insufficiently supported. Only real solution for the situation where the door is not flush (farther out than the body/quarter), is to re-adjust the latch mechanism as noted above.

Egad! I have that problem too. Looks like another addition to the 'R Issues' list. Along with window tracks, thin body, etc.
