My vtec is engaging late(like 6300,6400) and the it cuts off(sometime over7000) and then kicks back in
Does anyone know what causes this?

your engine is fine.. they're just sarcastic because no one uses the search feature.. AHEM..

check your oil level, if it's fine then let people know and diagnose from there.. oil is usually the culprit though..

Edit: Or did you really want us to explain how to avoid the oil level dropping..? lol..

The search function takes about 5 minutes to excecute properly.

Oh wait, you don't. You ended up waiting a lot longer than the 5 minutes to do a search, so please explain how that makes sense.

...from how I understand what he was saying, using a computer at work is a "no-no"... so the time i took to post a thread to ask for help &lt; time it would take to run and search through the threads for the 'right answer'.. *shrugs*

Yeah but he has to use the internet more to read the responses and reply to them than if he had just searched.

By coming back more than once the chance of being caught is far more than a few minutes to find the answer to begin with. It was dropping out of VTEC, most people would try to search before just posting about it and coming back every now and than to check.

If he would get in trouble for using the computer at work for *5* minutes (during lunch, etc) then he'd get in trouble for 1 minute too, so coming back more than once makes that scenario seem very, very unlikely.
