wrong, shells are all the same they just hand cut moonroofs in the other models and use bamboo chutes for extra rigidity. except for the fact that the itr was BUILT in japan and shipped over so utes super mage jdm! </TD></TR></TABLE>

assuming you are kidding??

anyway, extra seem welds on the shell, as well as certain mounting points (suspention, etc) being strengthened. i'm not on my home comp.. i have the detailed info there. the shell is much different than a regular one.
also, did anyone mention LCAs? i guess that was included in "five lug", etc.
different compound in brake pads.
larger brakes.
different calipers (?)
different shocks/springs

maybe these have all been mentioned. dunno. at work.. brain.. fried...

This thread is officially back from the dead.

Anyway, care to elaborate upon the extra seem welds? I always heard of this, is this simular or the same as 'stitch welding' a frame/shell/unibody?

There is no special welding

Difference in physical frame is the following

-Rear wheel housing
-rear pillar upper garter
-rear roof rail upper
-rear wheel arch extension
-rear lower arm bracket
-rear damper gusset

type R loses (for weight reduction)
-sunroof (duh)
-vanity mirrors
-cruise control
-rear wiper (97 anyway)
-dashboard insulator
-transmission mount
-driveshaft and shifter dynamic damper
-melt-sheet for the floor stamping

From the source.

Not in the book

nsxtasy - has anyone actually scanned in the technical resource book?

If not, I'll scan it in. We could end SO many type R "difference" threads.

Sorry to burst any bubbles but the Nissan Pulsar VZ-R N1 special output 210bhp from a 1.6L using Neo VVL technology in their SR16VE. They were kings of the highest output per liter until the s2k rolled off the manufacturing line.

Enough that i don't want a LS or GSR as an integra......Had a DC4 shell and ITR DC2 shells down to nothing and looked at everything.... DC2 has a lot more body stamping and metal then the rear section of the DC4=From the B pillar back.

DC2 ITR LS/GSR
Integra GSR is a DC2 chassis you moron it has more in common with a type R than a DC4 ( ls/gs/se ), its people like you that make me want to get out of the honda scene

Ok smart guy. Tell me the differences in sheet metal between an LS and a GSR? Last I checked a RS, LS, GS, SE, GSR all had the same sheet metal. Niether of them have ANYTHING in common with an R chassis. Its people like you that spread misinformation trying to be an Ethug that do a big disservice to this place. You obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about, so have a seat Jr. or better yet take your own advice and go ahead and get out of the scene. LOL.

It explains EVERY difference between the Type R and GSR with cool diagrams etc.

Are you sure it isn't already online somewhere?

Has anyone seen it before?

If that's the case then they've still got the S2000 beat: 240hp/2.0L = 120hp/L for the S2000. 210hp/1.6L=131.25hp/L for the Pulsar.

I've always heard 197bhp for the Nissan Pulsar VZ-R N1. Where did you get 210bhp from? I can't find that figure anywhere online.

Again, RS, LS, SE, GS, GSR = a diffrent chassis than ITR. The DC2 chassis code just sayswhether it is VTEC or not.

ITR chassis differences

Now you tell me. What is the same there? What's in common? Next time you try and dispense some knowledde it might help if you knew what you where talking about instead of talking out of your ***. You have established that you are good at that already.
