Hey guys, I picked up a DAC intake and I am having some fitment issues. It all bolts up but the cone filter keeps coming off the pipe. I think its because of the bracket that the cone is attached to. After a day or two of driving, I'll pop the hood and the filter will be half off the pipe. Any experiences? Please help.

 

Is there a clamp that holds the filter onto the pipe?

 

yes and I tighten it all the time.

 

What size is the clamp? Remove it and on the size it should say. Maybe the clamp is too large and not actually clamping down the filter onto the pipe.

 

Just get a smaller clamp at an auto parts store and you should be good to go. Strange that the one that came with the filter is too big...

 

does the DC intake still come with a bracket that mounts to the shock tower? if so, that is your problem. fabricate a bracket that mounts to the tranny.

i had the same problem.

try loosening up the bracket that mounts to the shock tower.
