Looks awesome .

Are you going to run the K20 stock or add some bolt-ons? If so, what I/H/E set-up? I'm not sure of the rules in your racing divisions as to what is and isn't allowed.

Nonetheless, congrats and I hope it comes together for you without too much of a headache

I can't be at VIR. Some Foundation work keeps me close to DC for the time being.

We're not planning on much in the way of improvements since people are routinely getting 230 on the dyno with the stock setup and a K Pro.

I did talk to somebody at Hondata who seemed to think we should have bought a better header, though. We'll see.

MooFX up here runs a DTR on his J's crate K20. Not sure if a custom built header would be necessary or maybe an OTS will do. There is plenty of selection available though.

&lt;--------really getting into the whole K-series swap

I think the entire swap is already installed in somebody's EG.

So the original motor was stolen then.

looking good.
is it a 6 point cage? looks like it from the pics. nice work!!
just curious, but what influenced your choice to go with a k20. is it because you don't believe in boost? have you always liked that motor or is it because it would take a boat load of money to get a b18c5 to generate the amount of power an itr k20 would obtain with just hondata k pro?
i'd like to see how the oil pan clearance is. if it's not too much trouble, i'd appreciate any pics of how far it is from the ground.
nice track monster, keep up the good work!!

Well, a big plus was that the motor was already in the crate on the floor waiting for me to say it was time.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> is it because you don't believe in boost? </TD></TR></TABLE>
I've never favoured boost for a track car, personally, although I'm aware that there are quite a few boosted track cars running around that are a lot faster than I am.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">have you always liked that motor or is it because it would take a boat load of money to get a b18c5 to generate the amount of power an itr k20 would obtain with just hondata k pro?</TD></TR></TABLE>
You're right that it would have taken work to get the B motor to produce as much power as the K motor would produce with completely stock internals. A big change is the rev limit, of course. With the B motor, I'd frequently shift at a (real) 9000 (indicated 9500). I won't be able to do that with the K motor.

I'll try to get pictures of that soon.
