Default Windshield Defroster Problem

Cold weather last night and found out windshield defroster does not turn on.
The heater works, however on all settings the air blows out the front vents. I already checked the fuse and it is fine. For some reason the air is not being cut off to the front vents and directed onto the windshield.
The windshield defroster worked properly two weeks ago, but in the meantime I fixed my passenger door speaker, could I have done something wrong there, or are there no relations between the door electrical and the heater.

PLease help ASAP sucks driving with ice on windshield.

I am having the above mentioned problem, and rather than start a new thread, I am going to piggy-back on this thread, I have found nothing but dead ends so far...

Try pushing the button really hard.

On old units, sometimes the buttons don't work too well.

on my da, i have to push really hard or it won't change flow.

I've tried pushing hard, I've checked my fuses, but it won't blow out anywhere but the front vents, this is a 94 LS BTW, is there an electronic module I can test that may lead me to some answers?

Well, they work now, for anyone searching in the future, the selector arm on the actual heater box thingy was jammed, I just pushed it around with the car running, and hit a few buttons and it started working again.
