Default A/C PROBLEMS

I just recently bought my 94 EX Coupe a couple months ago and I noticed I had a problem with my A/C and heater. For some reason when I turn it up to 3 and 4, it seems to blow real hard. Actually it just sounds like it's real hard, due to the fact that it's really really loud. I've noticed that under the glove box is where most of the air is coming from and it's always cold no matter if it's the A/C or heater on. My defroster for my front windshield and door windows dont even blow. As for the vents on the front dash, they blow cold when AC is on and hot when heat is on,except I don't believe they air is coming out like it should. It seems to me that all the air is getting blown through some blower under my glovebox. and it's always colder than the A/C no matter how I set the temp. I need help people, thanks

It sounds like you may have a problem with the Mode Door Motor. The motor is located on the left side of the heater core box (just above the gas pedal). Check fuse number 8 in the underdash fuse/relay box. If the fuse is ok, disconnect the mode control motor 7 pin connector. Turn the ignition ON. Measure the voltage between the Black/Yellow wire and body ground. Is there battery voltage? If not repair the open in the BLK/YEL wire between the fuse box and the MCM (Mode control motor). If battery voltage is present, turn the ignition off and test the MCM itself. Connect the 7 pin harness back the MCM and select defrost, vent, and floor in sequence on the control panel. Does the MCM operate? If yes, observe the MCM linkage and mode door opertation. If no, replace the MCM. I hope this helps ya.
