Just got new tires and was mounting the wheels.
Noticed that after I had torqued the wheel nuts, I could grab the front wheel and it would wiggle slightly (very slightly - but enough to produce a sound) from top to bottom, but not side to side. Is this normal?
If not what could be wrong here?

It could be the wheel bearing or upper/lower ball joint. How old/miles are on the car BTW? At around 175k my '90 had a wheel bearing go and there was mad movement top to bottom and side to side. Then around 230k I noticed significant movement top to bottom. After I inspected it some more I could see the top balljoint moving alot. I ended up getting some lower mileage ones from a junkyard (you can't just buy the balljoint new, have to get the whole arm). That top ball joint seems to lose the grease after awhile and then it just rattles itself to death and loosens up. I would wiggle it some more and find exactly where the play is, it isn't too hard.

Car's got 145k miles on it. I'll check the ball joints. Do you recall how much you paid for your junkyard joints Honda Hick?
Car's got Eibach Pro Kit & KYB AGX shocks too.

I got them for $40 a piece for the whole upper A-arm (control arm) which includes the bushings. It really depends on the junkyard. You can probably even get them cheaper if someone's parting out their car on Honda-tech or G2IC.com. Just make sure the ball joints are good in the replacements, if thats whats wrong with yours.
