im djheat1200....
what does it sound like my problem is...ius it my clutch or tranny or whaaat??? help me please!!!

DjHeat1200: well...i can have the car off

DjHeat1200: and shift into every gear fine
DjHeat1200: then turn the car on when its in neutral
DjHeat1200: and press the clutch in....and it wont go into any gears....
DjHeat1200: i can force them and they grind..
DjHeat1200: but thats dumb
DjHeat1200: and i can turn the car off...
DjHeat1200: and put it into first gear
DjHeat1200: then turn it on
DjHeat1200: and i can have the clutch all the way in
DjHeat1200: and it will still jump like its not fully engaging
DjHeat1200: ....
DjHeat1200: and it does this on and off
DjHeat1200: like it was fine all day and then it started doing it again

The clutch is not disengaging properly. Did you try to flush out and bleed the clutch fluid? If so, then the throwout bearing or pressure plate are worn and using up part of the throwout arm travel and not enough left to properly disengage the clutch. Also make sure nothing like a floor mat or carpet are keeping the pedal from going down all the way. Yes, I fixed someone's clutch by throwing away the floor mat.

you are a genius...and no its not the floormat, but your right about the arm travel...the new clutch is on the way...thanks
