96 Acura Integra Stock

To make a long story short, car was acidentally driven with constant brake pedal slightly pressed. After a few miles on the freeway, steering wheel and car shook pretty bad. I'm assuming it was being heated up to max. Upon pulling over, I had no brake power, pedal felt hard and stiff; very little movement. Car had resistance during acceleration at this point as well.

Towed car home, left it on jack stands with no wheel. The problem right now is when I turn the car on and put it into DRIVE, the rotors won't spin at all. If I push on the brake pedal halfway, the rotors would begin to spin. If I continue to push on the pedal all the way, the rotors would stop. Any ideas people?

Here are the things I have tried:

-Took apart calipers and pads - looks ok, rotors appeared burned.
-Flushed and bled the system, went as normal; this made the pedals feel normal again(no more stiff pedal).
-Took calipers off (with brake line still attached) and attempted to push in piston with clamp: it will not go in at all.
-Took calipers off (with brake line still attached) and pump the brake pedal: piston moves out smoothly and freely, but cannot be pushed back in with clamps.
-Took calipers off (no brake lines connected) and attempted to push piston with clamp: piston moved smoothly and freely back in.
-Attempted to push rear caliper piston, spins freely but does not move back in.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Sounds like the pistons overheated and are binding, new calipers and rotors, pads if it's getting close.

 

New calipers, pads and rotors, flush all brake fluid if it were my car.

 

do you have the abs sounds like the switch

 

new rotor+pads are a must. how BIG was the C clamp you used I had a big 9'' one and even then I had to work at it to get the piston back in.

 

I do, the switch was replace a few months ago, I tested it again and to the best of my knowledge, I think it still works.

 

When the brake lines are removed, the piston on the caliper moves freely in and out. When brake lines are attached and bled, It comes out when pumping pedal, but does not move inward at all.

Could this still be a messed up caliper?

 

I would or might have to but it will take a big hit into my financial limit. Hopefully I only have to buy a few parts and not a whole new brake system.

 

I'm not sure the size of mine. It's the same size I see mechanics use in shops. I've used this clamp for years on other cars including this one before and it was able to push the piston in. Thanks though.

 

if it moves with the line disconnected the fluid isn't retracting in the line, the fluid might have over heated and messed up something in the MC or ABS motor.
