i got a 96 civic with a gsr swap and today i was driving it around and i noiced it wasnt vtec ing well it was at about 4700 rpms but then when the second darys at 6000 rpms i could not hear them kick on and i tried it like 10 times.. i def can always hear it a 6 and its def not doing it but it is poping at 4700 idk what the deal it i checked the oil its good and full idk

Maybe its an issue with the secondaries and not vtec.

 

If vtec is poping your solenoid and oil pressure is fine. What ecu are you running? check all the conections to the secondaries on the manifold..

 

where are the plugs ??? a p72 obd2
