VIN location on LS block?
Is there a vin number on the B18b LS block, and if so, where is it located? My engine was stolen and a civic with an LS swap just showed up in the local paper. I'm gonna go look at it and I need to know where the vin is on the block. There is a number by the engine code but it isn't a vin. How can I ID my block if the tranny isn't on it. I wanna bust these guys if they have my motor?

I maybe wrong since I never looked for it on mine, but I believe it is near the header on the very bottom of the block, I think the heatshield blocks it from view. If its not there then its on the opposite side of that below the intake manifold. It will be on the very bottom before the oil pan. I'll go look for a pic 'cause I kind of just rambled.

Re: (silva95teg)
My other car is a 94 LS and I can't find a vin on the engine anywhere. I checked the oil pan and I don't see it. The motor in question though is from a 97 LS so I don't know if it will be different. I'm sure somebody out there knows for sure. Help me catch an integra theif!
