Very strange problem! NEED HELP!!!
OK, this is the problem. I have a 91 integra with not very many serious mods (stage 2 cams, valve springs/retainers, i/h/c/e, fuel rail, 275cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, etc.)
I've switched out the computers recently between 90s and 91s and everything was going ok until my car started to act really weird. This is what happens:
I'll be driving normally, shifting at about 3000 rpm, etc. But when i beat on it (rev to about 6000+) directly after it will start to act really weird. The a/f gauge will either go all the way lean, all the LEDs will light up, or it will be totally off. Then i will press on the gas and the temp. gauge will go all the way up, quickly. It will not slowly go up to overheating, but very quickly, only when i'm on the accelerator.
Sometimes it will stay totally up, sometimes it will go down. The car will also bog, in every gear, at any rpm. Then when i shut the car off, it doesn't start again. The motor doesn't even turn over, the starter just clicks.
Please help me with this problem, it's goin into the shop wednesday, but i need some suggestions as to what it is before so.

no, when i had the '90 computer in it was throwing code 13:atmospheric pressure sensor. I thought that that might be the problem but now I have my stock computer in and it is doing the same thing as it was with the 90 ecu.
The clicking sounds like a bad battery, and for the other things well it coulf be a few things. How is your rad. Is it the OEM and has it been changed, same with you thermsat. Since you have done the cams it will bog because you are shoving in the air without the fuel . Have you done the computer and or the Fuel pressure regulator and other fuel related components. Also when you go lean you go hot very hot! That is why your temp goes up.
Hope that helps!

the battery is good. I know that because it was just checked, charged, and the connections are good. As for the rad and thermostat, not sure if they were ever replaced because the car had 131k on it when i got it (it now has 147k).
I was kind of thinking the same things about the heat but if it was truly overheating that much, wouldn't there be smoke or something to indicate that it was overheating besides the gauge?
The car does start, but then i'll go out and beat on it, come back in, and it won't start at all.
All i have as far as computer tuning is a jet chip and an safcII. I haven't started tuning with the afc yet however.

i also have a vortec fuel pressure regulator, 275cc injectors, str fuel rail, walbro pump, skunk2 IM. I have the fuel pressure set at 70psi. I had it lower at about 64-66 and it would bog even worse.

Check the ground from the battery and to the starter motor may have come loose. It also could be shorting out the other electrical systems. Put a volt meter on your fuse box and even on your starter to see if you are getting the power while cranking over the car! compare it to the output from your battery. Your battery should be putting out approx 14V DC. See if that helps!
