Throwing an engine light....
I am throwing an engine light, but the only time it comes on is like 5 min into my drive. I have read about how to check your codes and everything, but unfortunatly when I turn my car off, my engine light turns off. So I don't know how to check it. Anyone got any ideas?

you check your fluid levels?
Mine kept coming on because my coolant was running low. after i topped it off, the light still remained on.
i detatched the battery, plugged her back in and the light went away

There's a sticky thread at the top of this forum describing it...
It's normal for the light to go off when you turn off the car. But the ECU stores the code(s) in it's memory so you can retrieve it.
