Default Check Engine Light......

I know how to use the service connector to make the check engine light blink it's code if the check light comes on. If you jump the service connector when there is no light on and it makes the check engine light come on and stay on without blinking is this normal? I was told that if you it stays on without blinking then your car is running in safety mode.

That's ok. The same thing has happened to me. This is what Honda calls "Dance Mode". The check engine light will flash to the beat when there is music playing.

Not sure where you got that info at but it's completely false. If the engine light is not blinking out any particular code then there's nothing wrong with your car as far as your ecu is concerned.
