When i have my lights on, my drivers side tailight doesn't come on. (only the part that comes on when u brake. Both reverse and the little side light come on) When i brake though both of the drivers and passenger work. I havent looked at anything yet as i noticed it when it was dark out. I will check it out tommorow up close any suggestions as to what to look for?

negative battery cable? what would that do to fix the problem?

 

any negative connection near the lights...

 

check to see if any water got in around the wiring harness on the back of the tail light. If so it might have burned through the wire and caused the wire to burn through leaving no connection. I just had this problem, couldnt figure it out untill I took the tail light out and checked the wiring.

 

dude its your bulb....it's double filament bulb...depending on which filament is dead...try changing out the bulb
