Odd electrical problems like this are typically caused by bad ground wire connections. Start by checking and cleaning the ground wire connections in the rear.

Have you checked for corrosion in the connectors/grounds?

Does your horn work? checked fuses?

Iv'e checked all fuses and there dine and yeah my horn works. I'll have to check the grounds. There is some corrosion on the socket from moisture in my tailight.

Bad ground, blown fuse, or a short.

Have you done any wiring lately?

I ran into the same problem. I ended up having to buy a new bulb socket from a junked car. It seems that the corrosion inside the socket caused the bulb to work intermittently. So, check the socket and see how bad the corrosion is inside it. A new bulb may help because the bulb itself isn't corroded but it is the socket that really needs the help.
