starter?
my friend has a 91 LS and for some reason out of no where the car will only stay on if you hold the key in the on position. if you let the key go it comes back to the off position and turns off the car. could this be a bad ignition or starter?? or something else??

not the starter... because obivously the car starts. sounds like an electrical problem. possibly the ignition

Does it seem to start and run for like half a second then shut off immediately? Do things like windows or wipers that normally work only when the key is on, work if you hold the key in start and crank the car? If so, the problem is your ignition switch and harness (the part that the key cylinder turns). I had to replace mine a few weeks ago after my car died and left me stranded, it was only about $35 for the part and $25 to ship it overnight.

This is what happened in my ex-girlfriends' Accord. It was the ignition module switch within the ignition.
