Default Should i boost?

Well lets see, i have a 1995 Integra LS, and it has about 140,000 miles on it, and i was wondering if putting a turbo kit would be a wise idea. The miles on the motor are basically hogh-way miles, and it still runs great. I plan on boosting about 5-6 pounds daily diven, nothing drastic like 10 pounds. All input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

u should be okay with that...just upgrade ur fuel management a lil...bigger injectors so on so forth

u might want to get rid of the cast pistons and rods for lower compression forged ones...its a lil $$$ tho

custom turbo is cheaper btw

good luck

LS motor = low compression

so...if you are going to go with forged pistons and rods do not go with lower compression pistons

Boost 7-8 psi and use a 3 inch exhaust

Even with 6 pounds I would say 3 inch exhaust. 3 inches from the downpipe all the way through the exhaust.

I can refer you to a guy who makes hella good turbo manifolds and dp's for hella cheap. PM me.

i got a drag manifold already, and im only gonna boost no higher than 6 psi, what about a GREDDY SP exuast? 2.50.

Im not doing a rebuild anytime soon, so thats deff out of the question. I also have a brand bew street disc waiting to be installed with the kit.

Apex n1, good exhaust for low boosted turbo like 4 - 5 up to like 15 if you ever get the mood to rebuild your motor and boost it more.

we turbod one at 120k miles on it had no problems ran 13.1@105 till the owner stopped doing the proper maintenance, and then he started having problems, as long as your car was properly maintained, and has good compression i dont think you would have a problem, just take the time and do the install properly

proper maintenace would include...

belts...checking oil several times a week...checking all fluids several times a week...if you dont have a turbo timer, let the car idle for a couple of minuets before you shut it off once you reach your destination...check all your hoses, especially your oil lines, for any leaks, cracks, etc...keep everything nice and clean under the hood
