shitty short throw?
I have a Neuspeed short throw shifter installed on my teg, and for the most part it's pretty swell. Except for the fact that when i try to slam it into second every once in a while it grinds like a banshee. I dont want to remove it, but I may have to just for the sake of my friggin' clutch. Any suggestions?

Grinding is usually either a result of driver error or worn synchros. If it never happened before installing the short throw, I would think it's probably driver error. Remember to completely disengage the clutch when shifting fast and you shouldn't have a problem.
If I shift properly I never have a problem w/ my generic AutoZone short throw shifter.

I doubt that its me. I drive any other stick the same way and does not grind. Of course none of my other friends have a short throw shifter. Thanks for replying though.

Well you have to be careful w/ a short throw because sometimes you might shift faster than your foot disengages the clutch, so just be careful.
