Default sensor question...

itsa knock sensor. the ecu reads off voltage and the sensor will only send a certain amount of volts if the engine knocks right? so then if the sensor isnt in the block it see any knock and it wont send any voltage to the ecu and the ecu will think that everything is good? i hav a b18a ls vtec and it has no knock sensor location and i am eventually geting a hondata chip to eliminate knock sensor.

why would you do that specially for the ls/vtec!!
once the sensor is activated it will retard your timming.
preventing a big booommm (detonation)

I suggest keeping it..

if do ls/vtec and raise the comp ratio
you are getting closer to the detonation range.
not only that ls/vtec its more delicate than the other engines
and require more attention.
