Default knock sensor question.

if i plugg the knock sensor in but dont thread it in the block(pr3 ecu) will any CEL appear. i swapping in my ls.vtec and i plan on getting the hodata chipped without knock sensor later. thanx

its a b18a block so it has no place for a knock sensor. help.

will it? the ecu reads off voltage and the sensor will only send a certain amount of volts if the engine knocks right? so then if the sensor isnt in the block it see any knock and it wont send any voltage to the ecu and the ecu will think that everything is good?

It should be fine but if that frequency range is produced by anything else it will probobly retard the timing.

i did the c-speed reccomendation on mine, and havent had a problem, just take your time with tapping the threads, knock sensors are always good to have in case you infact do knock.
