took apart my 93 ls motor getting it prepped up for turbo and heres afew things that i wasnt sure about

that is the backside of the bearing.. whats up with that can anyone explain that?

the scratch on the rod bearing is that caused by debris??

do u think the crankshaft journal got nick n damages i look didnt see any should i get it micropolish?



also looking the at the bottom of the cylinder wall with the motor flip over u see the little rasied edges on the block? wtf is that? i ran my figure through it.. its not any debris.. feels like metal shaving that got molded to the block and is now a rough surface wtf is that and whats causing that? look like cracks around it with raised up molded metal shaving let me know please thanks.. anyone can help?

signs of poor maintenance
scratched (worn out parts)
oil looks chunky
yellow/brownish stuck to block.
so best bet is to get it hot tanked and blueprinted due to wear on all parts.
since you are going turbo.

so the metal shaving is bonded to block not a major concern.
