Default project

Im new to the whole japanese tuning camp, as I have been more into german cars. I curently own a modified Audi A4 turbo and love it but it weighs quite a bit. I was looking into buying another car for a project and saw that the integra was relatively cheap and lightweight and there was alot of aftermarket support with these cars.

My goal would be to strip everything from the car to the lightest possible configuration and then start modifying the motor

Im looking into either a high boost application or (more preferably) high boost and high revving (10,000+ rpm). Im not going to set a target power level but would hope to achieve a decent amount of power to the point that a modified v8 wouldnt be able to keep up...

I was wondering, with a built top end (with Ti everything) and new ti rods and lower cr pistons etc, what would be the highest rpm that one of these engines could withstand?
I realize that it would require a new ems so i would also like to know what systems are available for these motors that wont cost 5 grand just for the box(Ie motec).

also would the vtec system be operable at the higher rpms and is it easy to control the vtec system with the separate engine management?

one last note, when and in what models is the vtec available in? It seems like it would be good, but at the same time seems like it could be a pain in the *** and hinder the car as far as tuning goes.

Im also curious about the bodywork. What parts of the body can be had in cf? Not the cf look or fiberglass thats wrapped over with cf, just the lightest possible parts.

Any other information about these cars would be gretly appreciated

thanks for your help, Im still in the planning stages so I havent chosen a car yet or anything, btw this isnt going to be a daily driver
