Default possible vtech problem please help?

In the last year I have been fortunate to own 2 white gsr one was a g2 and the other which i own now a 2000 g3. The problem is that put down the same torque # on a mustang dyno with the same mods CAI 95 lb. How is this happening is my G3 vtech not working correctly? the g2 put down 131 hp and my g3 put down 138. I trying to diagnos my g3 it's got 49, 000 mils runs fine and doesn't burn oil any suggestions out there or is this normal

well if you're having problems with your vtech you should leave it on the charger for 24hrs...you should be good to use it from there...if it keeps acting up, replace the battery.

sorry, i had to throw that in there...

could be any number of things...could be something as simple as lower octane gas or high ambient temperatures/humidity, or maybe the dyno needs to be recalibrated...could be that your ECU needs to be reset.

Is you CEL on? Have you performed a compression/leakdown test? It's possible for the engine to be slowly burning oil without you seeing smoke outta the exhaust.

well i'd say 138 lb of tourque to the wheel for a stock GSR is pretty damn good. knowing that it only puts down 140-145hp to the wheel stock. don't confuse crank hp with whp..2 totally different things.

I'd say that's pretty good too, seeing as how he has a stock motor with a CAI...that means his CAI is giving him like 40lb-ft of torque...lol

Dude, stock GSRs put 127lb-ft TO THE CRANK

He was saying he was getting 138whp, which is a little on the low side for a GSR. All else equal, that means he's getting something like 20% drivetrain loss, which is what you'd expect from some AWD cars, but not FWD.

mustang dyno's typically read lower than dynojets/dynapacks. put it on either of those two dyno's and you'll probably get a higher number.
