ok..my friend has a DA with a b16 and cable tranny...well first his car idles NASTY it goes from 3 k back down all the time...and sec his Vtec i guess hasnt been working for past 2 days and i just went to drive and and it wont open at all what can make this happen????

 

check ur vacuum lines, then ur iacv.

 

i know my friends vtec in his lude wasn't working then we changed his vtec solenoid screen and it worked everytime and still does

 

sheepeg3 - pop over to http://www.g2ic.com. There are several articles about VTEC engaugement. There are like 5 or 6 conditions that have to be present for VTEC to work. I don't remember all of them but think some were, oil pressure, no knock from sensor......
