Please Help: Rough Idling problems on my 92 Ls DA with a 94 LS engine Non-V-tech
Hi everone and thanxs for helping me with my problem if you can. I have a 94 LS engine with a skunk 2 manifold.
As i was saying: i have a rough idling problem. When the car is hot it runs and idles fine but when its cold it starts idling roughly back and forward like its gasping for air badly when i drive the car.The weird thing is that when i stop and park my car with the motor running it stops idling. And i can't just warm up the car before i drive it because when its cold at night and i drive the car all the cold air blows into the engine bay and cools down the motor really fast and the thermostatic gose down to cool/cold really fast. Please Help me i'm dying here i can't figger out the problem.
Here is the list of things i have tryed.
Cleaning idle control vavle with brake cleaner and after that didn't work tryed it with curb cleaner.
bleeding radiator untill fan turns on
swaping idle control vavles just to see if it makes a differents.
If you can Please give me some advice on this problem. Thanxs

Check all your vacuum hoses. Another thing to check is your MAP sensor, and change your O2 sensor

easiest way to find it is on the iac valve there are two coolant lines on leads to the water neck on the back of the engine and the other to the fit valvel usually under the throttle body either attached to it or in the intake manifold under the throttle body
but regardless before all that take your intake off and plug the bottom hole while it is cold and see if it idles at 750 and if it does you either block off the fitv or replace it
