so yesterday and today my oil light flickered for a second at a random time when i was driving. it only happened once yesterday and once today and it doesnt stay on it just flickers. i did an oil change about a month or two ago. today i checked the oil and there was no oil on the stick. i even added a quart and tried again and the stick came up dry. there are no noticeable leaks. my oil pan gasket is about to get replaced but its very minor. i dont know why the stick isnt picking up any oil. is the stick too short?

 

does your car burn oil?

 

i dont smell anything and theres no smoke. i highly doubt it.
