NOS
Don't we all. First off good luck. I think you're pushin' it w/ a 100 shot unless you want to rebulid you're whole block with forged pistons, block guard, ect. I'd go with a turbo if you want 100hp. And if you have 60,000 + mi. on you're car then it prob. won't last long if you don't do some serious reinforcing.
I'm not saying that it can't be done but, you'd have to spend some $$$ for all the fuel and computer stuff so you wouldn't toast your engine.
Perosonally if you want N20 then go with a failsafe system like Venom or Zex. Good luck.

Anyways, take it from someone who uses nitrous everyday. Not just from someone who just "thinks" it's a bad idea.
Your GSr has a very strong block, considering it is stock. A 100 shot can be easily accomplished, as long as your engine is in good working condition. The main thing you need is an adequate fuel supply and ignition spark. What I'm trying to say is a good aftermarket 255 lph fuel pump will be all you need for fuel upgrades. The nitrous solenoid will supply you with all the extra fuel the nitrous requires. Another thing is that it has to be a direct port system. I know NOS makes a plate system for your gsr, which you might want to look into. Other than that, all you really need is probably a new aftermarket clutch to keep your stock one from slipping w/ all that new power.

First off, just because you have more than 60,000+ miles on your car doesn't mean that your engine is a piece of **** and you have to throw it away!!
If you do a leakdown test/compression test and the numbers come out good and consistent, then your motor is still in good condition.
Also, not everyone has 3000 to just spend on a damn turbo. Alot of people do have like 600-700 bucks for a nitrous kit though.
Why would it cost so much for fuel/computer upgrades?? Your stock injectors will work fine. All you would really need is a new fuel pump maybe. Other than that, your nitrous solenoid will provide you with the necessary amount of fuel. Also, if you're talking about stand alone, then, that's not necessary for jsut nitrous. If you're talking about a nitrous progressive controller, that's probably gonna run you about $250 for a jacobs nitrous mastermind. A fuel pump will cost you about $100+.
Also, please explain to me why Venom or Zex is a "failsafe system"???? Last time I checked, your engine doesn't blow because of the nitrous, but because of the user.

If you plan on squeezing a 100shot, do NOT use the Zex or Venom kits, but yet go Direct port from NOS or similar.

Zex is safer because the unit regulates fuel and n2o on the fly. BUT, it's still up to the user to be safe with it.

Agreed on the direct port, but not only ZEX has that feature that regulates fuel pressure. NOS kits use a vacuum control to raise fuel pressure when nitrous is activated as well.
Direct port is completely different.
Dude, that's what I'm talking about. I used to own a NOS single fogger dry kit and now a NOS direct port kit. I was trying to say that Zex is not the only company that has that feature.
