Default Need Help! V-tec Problem

Hey H-T,
I have a 2k1 GS-R and today my V-tec did not kick in at all. I check the oil and it's not low, so what else could be the problem. The car only has 20k on it and the mods are I/h/e w/ a test pipe. Any ideas? Thanks

Did your motor warm enough when you take the rpm up into the vtec range ?

1. check oil
2. warm up the car, once it is, drive it easy for the first 2-5miles

There is a way to check to see if your VTEC is working or not... for the 94-95 GSRs... drive the car in 1st gear and stay in VTEC at around 6000 rpm (I know the GSR's VTEC point is around 4400-5000rpm) or so and let the car ride like that for about 7 seconds (if I remember correctly) and if the CEL blinks a number of times then you have something wrong with your VTEC/solenoid....

Sorry if this info is wrong, but I remember doing this a while back on my 94 GSR.. and this is totally off from memory....

Don't worry it was nothing major it was my Vechicle speed sensor. It got some salt and **** from Sunday's snow storm in DE. My car is so low I guess that it got caught up in there. Thanks for you guys advice though.
