ok i have a 93 da with a ls/vtec it runs great but theres one problem NO VTEC i have a p61 ecu and when my car hits around 5700 my oil presure drops from around 80psi to around 60psi and no vtec can someone give me some ideas one more thing when i got my b16 head it was taken apart (mabe i put something in wrong place).

 

thats is most likely the problem, whatever doofus put it back together probably put the rocker shaft in the wrong side or backwards...
but, just so you dont pull everything apart to find out its not a mechanical problem, start with the basics... see if the vtec solenoid is working properly. the only way i know how to test is is to jack the front end up, and hit vtec with the tires spinning... put a DMM on the positive wire to the solenoid and see if there is voltage (there should be voltage at your vtec X over) if this is the case, replace the solenoid.

if that test checks out ok, check your vtec oil screen, it could possibly be plugged. if that is the case, replace it.

chances are, the person who put together your head probably F**KED up unfortunately
