Just jam the linkage. When the car is not running, they are open (short runners). Do you feel the need to prove to yourself that these actually do something?

My secondarys are not hooked up so I figured that they were always closed. I thought if I opened them and kept them open all the time I would get maybe a small gain. Is this worth doing? Thanks bro.

If you have the return spring connected, that should hold them in the open position. You have to apply vacuum to the actuator to close them.

If they are not connected, would they be normally open or closed? Right now if I push up, they spring back down. Is down open or closed? Thanks guys.
