tial 50mm bov surge
idle at 500mmhg
11psi spring
i still get surge unless its above 10 psi, i really dont like how its working so would the 9psi spring work best for me or would it hurt anything?

Same thing happen to mine. End up cutting the 11 lbs spring. It works fine now. If I was to do it over again I would gotten the smaller spring in it.

Re: tial 50mm bov surge
ya i think their ratings arent quite right, so i think a 9 psi spring will be my next investment for it
vacuum is straight off the manifold with correct vacuum line

Re: tial 50mm bov surge
i never had an issue other then the engine pulling hte valve open at idle, so i went tighter on the spring. as long as it is opening even a little its not really an issue.
if it werent opening at all i would worry.
hell 4 years with my buick although an automatic, over 25 psi, i never had a blow off valve. hell we never knew what they even were.

what you should be using is different than what works. hondas like a less stiff spring. ive always had to run lighter springs in my hondas. what cams your running also change how much vacuum its pulling. i would say run the 9 psi spring and it should be kosher.

Re: tial 50mm bov surge
it really doesnt matter (if you cut to much) cuz when u build boost it puts the same psi on both sides of the valve boost in the intercooler piping and boost in the vac line so really just cut them down unless u want to spend 30$on one lol

Ah, yes! Of course he should be on here to do your bidding 24/7. I didn't miss anything, so turn that hammer around, slick. You didn't answer his question. Wash the sand out of your vag and relax.

Re: tial 50mm bov surge
I agree, I had the 11psi spring and it didnt move till 7psi or so. Tial has great customer service. Shoot them a PM and they may trade you springs for free.

Nice try, lol. You edited that post exactly one minute after you responded to me the first time. I saw it earlier. You're too predictable.
...and your latest edit with bold and underline
I guess you didn't know that information is posted, huh?
I've never called someone a "newb" in my life. I was just trying to point out that you were asking for his help, then completely ignored him when he tried. Even if you didn't edit your post, your pre-answer to his future question still doesn't answer the question. Pre-answering "correct vacuum line" is not the answer.
Try not to be a dick.

Re: tial 50mm bov surge
and i guess in the end, none of what you say really matters, since the fact is i have the proper diameter vacuum line going directly into the manifold for vacuum and it still surges
going to be ordering the 9 psi spring this afternoon and see if it fixes the problem
