IMO.... dont waste your time.

You dont think a theif knows this? Hey run a 12volt source to the fuel pump and create an alternate source of power.

The best way to do it, is get an alarm. Hide the brain up inside the dash (remove the dash). Then wire up 2 switches.

Hook 1 swithc up to ignition and 1 switch up to accesory (fuel pump, etc..) However bypass the switches so that they cannot be turned on without using the alarm keypad (unlock).

Hence unless you unlock the car, you cannot use the switch. I believe the more complex you wire it, you can even have it so that even if you atempt to trigger the switch, you can cause the alarm to go off.

My friend had this in his car. It would be impossible to run alternate sources of power to the switches, not to mention even find the location of the alarm brain.

Ok - I'm not trying to be an *** with this response but...

Are you KIDDING me? How many theives run a 12v battery - go - omg...its killed somewhere....rip out your lower seat, splice your fuel pump to 12v...then, rip apart your ignition run alternate source to that to start the car.....etc.etc.

with all that work, they'd prob tow it first.
which brings back the point - if they want it, they got it.

A kill switch - even a simple one is a GREAT way to stop someone from taking off - most theives are NOT repo men.

GREAT advice on the alarm locations + the more advanced kill switch

I would not recommend using a switch without setting up relays in a "momentary to constant" configuration.
Imaginf waht happens if you or a shoe, flashlight, dog, etc bumps the switch while you are driving.

Only buy bosch relays.
