ITR swap into a LS Auto
If I drop a ITR engine swap into what used to be a LS Auto ..
I know i would need to:
Change ECU (come with swap)
Pod gauge
drive axles (come with swap)
Radiator /Hoses (Radiator had auto tranny cooler.. so it follows the LS/AUto swap)
pedals/pedal assembly
shift linkage (come with swap)
Already have upgraded fuel pump
Will my AEM fuel rail that fit my LS ...fit the ITR ? and vice versa
Due to the ITR being geared more towards all motor ... and i know the ITR internals are better than the LS/GSR how big of
a shot of nitrous will still be considered conservative on the ITR and i take it i should immediately upgrade the clutch
finally ... will a ITR/CTR throttle body fit on a LS intake manifold ?

Re: ITR swap into a LS Auto (GSR-OwnzJo0)
Ok ok ok ok....nitrous is gay? All I see on here is people who say nitrous is gay, nitrous sucks, blah blah blah, but no technical information to back it up....probably just someone who lost to someone spraying and is all butt hurt about it. How is nitrous any different from any other part you put on the car to increase airflow into the engine? Well if I spend half as much, and I'm twice as fast, who is the smart one now? What exactly do you consider a "good engine upgrade".....bolt ons? Cams? FI?
As for the tech question in this post, you can safely run an 80 shot on a completely stock R motor. The high compression of the R motor loves nitrous. I know someone running an 80 shot and is in the 12's. Just make sure you run one step colder NGK copper plugs, gapped to .030", and retard your timing a few degrees while spraying.

Re: ITR swap into a LS Auto (dlplayboy)
actually... NOS isnt gay. its gay compared to turbo.
NOS on R motors kick ***...
NOS on R motors kick ***...
Well ... i will never invest 3 -4 K in a turbo / supercharger setup unless i can can really crank up the PSI and get like 50->100 HP and we all know that B18C5 is geared towards all motor ... sooo cheap HP increase as i see is a nitrous shot .... ITR cams are decent ... a cam upgrade would well reach over 1k plus id just throw away the ITR cams .. sooo the only cost effective thing i can see doing to that B18C5 is sprayin on it ... its got beefer internals.... i bet a 75 shot is very conservative for that motor .... what do you guys think?
