irradic idle on 91 b18 non v-tec
here's my problem - i'll start the car and sometime's it will suddenly die shortly after for no apparent reason. Most of the time it will start and idle at 1,000 rpm / 1100 rpm, holding steady at whatever it decides to sit at. And only a select few times, it will sit at 750 where it's supposed to be. i've checked my tps (maybe it was getting stuck), tps is fine, i also have a si throttle body...thought it could be the map sensor failing (i had to relocate from stock location, to using the map sensor on the actual si throttle body) and i had no problem with the map, even after replacing it twice to check with good units. The map sonsor is reading fine, and everything works there. I hought it could be my Idle air controll, and that seamed to be woking fine too. The only other thing i can think of is that on the stock throttle bodies, there is an adjustment for idle (i bought the car with si throttle body, so i've never looked at the stock one) and maybe hat adjustment has something to do with it, but i'm not sure. all my vaccum is correct, and all sonsors i tested with the dvom worked. I have no idea what to look for now, and anything would help.....

it really it could either your idle control sensor, the one in front of the or on top of the intake manifold, or most likely its your iacv, in which case u can just pull it off and clean the filter that in the inside of it, but thats just a temp fix if thats the problem 9 times out of 10 most ppl ive talked to just replaced it.
