I have 97 Integra gsr and it came when keyless entry it is not any kinda viper keyless entry bs. Its the dealer keyless entry. Anyway one day the red light on the remote came on and stayed on and wont open the doors or unlock them.
I thought the battery might be messed up so I changed the battery but it didnt make any difference. As long as the battery is n the remote the red light on the remote is lit. Has anyone experienced a similar situatiuoin ?

Did you drop it on the ground or in water? Sounds like your shorted out or something. I would take the batteries out for a bit, and try to reprogram the remote.

You have a "collapsed" switch, [button] on your remote, [like button is pressed all the time] you will need a new remote.

It is possible something sticky got in there and you may be able to free it up, you will need a can of spray contact cleaner, [Radio Shack] open remote up and remove circuit board spray switch with cleaner repeatedly pressing the switch to see if it will free up. 94

I seriously doubt my remote has a collasped switch (button) since I have to remotes that came with the car and both light up whenever i put a battery in either of them.
I will check out the link posted on reprogramming the remote Ive never tried that.
