Default Is this illegal?

Is it illegal to grind off the block code...i.e b16 and the numbers under it or whatever, I read a thread awhile back saying it wasnt illegal as long as you have the vin

no its absolutely not, but it is illegal to sell someone a b18 when infact it is a b16

if you get pulled over and cop checks for matching number. and he sees your numbers are grinded off. hmmm..whats next?

yeah, but alot of people are

and most dont know what pr3, p30,p72, etc.... stand for or the fact that every head is stamped.

No, I don't care about your VIN, and like I stated in the other thread there is no reason to make your motor look stolen. But do what you want, it's not my car getting inpounded.
