If my ignition switch had gone bad, would I still beable to bump start the car? Or does that not matter?

 

It would depend on what part of the switch is bad. If you can physicaly turn it to the accessory position and everything seems normal then it may bump start.

 

as long as the electrical contacts are closing then it should work.

 

bc it will start everyone if i bump start it when it wont turn over. I have another post about this but money is tight right now and its narrowed down to ignition switch or starter. Bc it just kinda turns over when it wants too

 

Update: So I was having those problems starting but it would always bump start, I had a key that I had cut awhile back bc the one I was using is really worn out and it seemed to work great started everytime for awhile.

Well now im back to the way it used to be before its giving me a hard time. So I wanna replace the ignition. What exactly do you have to replace and will I need a new key? Also anyone have any ideas where I can get what I need??
