I have a b20vtec swap...when my car warms up my motor shakes....then the idle goes back up....i have no CEL and whenever i come to a stop my cars idle sets at 500 or lower then sometimes die......i have no clue whats wrong....cleaned out my IACV but still does the same....any idea? would my TPS affect it? any help would be appreciated..

 

im having problems with my idle too. did you try to adjust the idle screw? .. if you do decide to, search first because there is a certain way that you have to do it

 

timing might be off but maybe your timing belt is off it will run like crap even 2 teeth off will make it run bad but im not sure check it

 

but then again could be other things so if anyone out there with ideas jump in i dont really ever have problems with my cars-

checked my timing a couple of times....had my buddies double check it also....seems to be dead on....but its weird because i have no CEL.....drove my car again today and it lags alot now...seems to be burning to much fuel or something....still no idea

 

tune up maybe? pcv....

 

i hAVE no idea man.....im having bad luck with this swap...stupid ignition problems.....im not sure if my iacv is going bad.....im thinking it might be my tps also....

 

i had the same swap in my teg and for some reason it would idle up and down like it just wouldnt stay in place until it got super hot like when i was racing it would just chill i dont know why and my vtech wouldnt pop either until it was super hot too but then someone stole it so no more problem for me but im sad even tho it was almost a year or two ago

 

ic ic....same problem here...sometimes my vtech would kick normally but my car is running right at the moment still trying to figure out why my car would idle low and then shut off.....u think the tps would affect it?
