idel problem

Default idel problem

I have a obdll gsr motor that is ideling funny. it was fine one day then the next it just started 2 rev up and down like to 1300 then drop back down. do you know what the problem is? it is not a vacuum leak and it is not my i-ac.

are you low on coolant?
any air bubbles in your coolant?
checked your spark plugs lately?

How do you know its not the IACV? it could also potentially be the FITV.

ob2 i believe they dropped the fitv and the iacv controlls the warm up also. I may be wrong though.... i would check my coolant for air, check the intake maniflod and throttle body for air leaks. check the sensors on the tb for air leakage also..

yes that is true

check the IACV, that is usually the cause of about 80% of idle problem cases

and as said, check all of your vacuum lines, and your throttle body gasket as well
