I need help with a problem.
Hey guy I just did a recent engine swap from my 95 Acura integra to a 94 eg civic hatch back. The motor in the integra was a LsV. B18b block with a B16a1 head. The problem is I took the motor apart before putting it into my civic and I noticed that the exhaust side of my vavles were a orange color and my plug were also a light orange color. My intake side is good. Not orange at all. I am just wondering what it could be. Some people are telling me that it's burning rich so change the fuel. Some are telling me that the fuel filter could be dirty. Some is telling me I am not getting enough fuel and that's why it's not burning right. If you guys have any ideas what it could be please let me know. And I didn't have a chance to take a picture of it
If it was running rich it would be a nasty carbon black as that's what happens excessive carbon build up, if it was running lean it would be a crusty white not orange. You're really going to need pictures
Yup suonds like rust from condensation or water that got in there somehow.. post some pics
How did it run? did you assemble and tune the engine?
If the engine is pulled and your unsure of the health of the engine it wouldnt hurt to pull off the head and have it freshened up and checked at a machine shop

You see that's the thing, the motor run perfect. No sputtering, backfires, smoke from the exhaust nothing at all? I knew I should of took a picture of it before I put it back in
